The Just for the Helena of It race is in it's 4th year! Last year, the Treasure State Runners (the four women who generously put this race on as a volunteer effort) donated 90% of the race proceeds to The Friendship Center and 10% to Girls Thrive. That equated to $35,000 to The Friendship Center and $5,000 to Girls Thrive! These funds helped support our Winter Session programming (each 8-week session of the GT Community Program costs approximately $10,000). This year, donated funds will support both our Winter Session and School Programs.

GT will be representing at the 5K water station (watch out for a fun theme!), a home base information table near the start/finish, and with a crew of School Program runners in the 5k race. Lace up your running shoes and join us again on October 19th, 2025! If running/walking isn't your interest, please consider signing up to volunteer! It takes more than 100 volunteers each year to ensure the safety and success of all who participate in Just for the Helena of It.
