Registration details

Registration for the Fall 2018 session has reached capacity and is now closed.

In order to register for the 2018 Fall Session, please complete the following steps. Your child will not be considered registered until both steps are complete. Registration materials are due by Monday, August 27, 2018; if both of an applicant's registration materials are not received by that date, their spot may be released.

Registration is limited to the first 25 girls. We are happy to be able to serve 5 more girls than we have in past seasons because of our larger Girls Thrive Headquarters location on the second floor of First Christian Church at 311 Power Street.

Complete the online application

The application is now online. Please read the application carefully; we need to know your contact information, emergency contact information, and any health concerns that could impact participation, such as food allergies. There are a number of areas for you to indicate that you understand the inherent risks involved with participating in physical activity, and there is a place for you to opt in to our media release.

By submitting the online application, your typed name will serve as your signature.

The motivation statement from your child is still required, but can now be submitted online as well by typing it into the form to make registration easier for all families. These statements should be written by the girls themselves; please have it with you as you are filling in the form as it is a mandatory component. The motivation statements are used to create a positive learning environment for all and to help inspire the girls during challenging moments.

Checks can be made payable to Girls Thrive.

Registration fees provide gear for girls in need (including running shoes, the use of program mountain bikes, helmets, etc.), snacks, curriculum materials, rent, and other program-related costs. We recommend your child participate in as many program days as possible in order to receive the greatest benefit.

If both of an applicant's registration materials have not been received by Monday, August 27, 2018, their spot may be released to a person on the waiting list. Space is limited to the first 25 participants.

Every Tuesday from September 4 to October 23, 2018 for run days! Meet from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Girls Thrive Headquarters (GT HQ) (311 Power Street, inside First Christian Church on the second floor).

Every Thursday from September 6 to October 25, 2018 for cross-training from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, generally at GT HQ (more information, including site-specific waivers, will be provided upon registration).

Every Saturday from September 8 to October 27 for mountain biking days! Meet from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at GT HQ.

And don't forget, Wednesday, October 10, at 7 PM will be the screening of the No Man's Land film festival, a series of short films about girls and women having adventures outdoors. Attendance is free for GT girls! Check out our Events page for more information.
